Sinem ColeriSinem Coleri

Sinem Coleri received the BS degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Bilkent University in 2000, the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and computer sciences from University of California Berkeley in 2002 and 2005. She worked as a research scientist in Wireless Sensor Networks Berkeley Lab under sponsorship of Pirelli and Telecom Italia from 2006 to 2009. Since September 2009, she has been a faculty member in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Koc University, where she is currently Professor. Her research interests are in wireless communications and networking with applications in machine-to-machine communication, sensor networks and intelligent transportation systems. She has been Area Editor of IEEE Communications Letters and IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society since 2019, Editor of IEEE Transactions on Communications since 2017 and Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology since 2016. She is an IEEE Fellow.

Angela Yingjun ZhangAngela Yingjun Zhang

Angela Yingjun Zhang got her Ph.D. degree from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2004. Since 2005, she has been with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she is currently a Professor. Angela is currently an Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Open Journal on Communications Society (OJ-COMS), a Member-at-Large of IEEE ComSoc Board of Governors, and a member of IEEE ComSoc Fellow Evaluation Standing Committee. She now serves on the Steering Committees of IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, and IEEE SmartgridComm Conference. She is a Fellow of IEEE and was the Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE ComSoc in 2018-2021.

Paulina ChanPaulina Chan

Dr. Paulina Chan is the Principal and CEO of Global Mutual Consortium, an international think-tank on tech-biz strategy and innovation business development.  She is a strong advocate for young professionals and women in STEM.  Paulina has been the Managing Director of AT&T/Lucent Technologies; Project Director of Exxon/Mobil Corporation Headquarters; and China Regional General Manager of ICO Global Communications.   

Paulina is Industry Relation Liason of WICE-ComSoc, Chair of IEEE Public Visibility Committee, Chair of Outreach & Coordination on the IEEE Diversity & Inclusion Standing Committee, General Chair of TENCON 2022.  She is Immediate Past Chair of IEEE Hong Kong Section, and former Chair of WIE Hong Kong.  Dr Chan is a Chartered Manager and being appointed as Chartered Companion of the Chartered Management Institute (UK).  Paulina is Champion of the Mentoring Programme, Founding Chair of Imperial Women in World Digital Signal Processing and former Imperial Ambassador. 

Paulina received her PhD and DIC in EEE at Imperial College London, and MBA at University of London. 


Damla TurgutDamla Turgut

Professor Turgut is Charles Millican Professor of Computer Science at University of Central Florida. She is also the co-director of the AI Things Laboratory. Her research interests include wireless ad hoc, sensor, underwater, vehicular, and social networks, edge/cloud computing, smart cities, smart grids, IoT-enabled healthcare and augmented reality, as well as considerations of privacy in the Internet of Things. 

She serves as the N2Women Board Co-Chair where she co-leads the activities of the N2Women Board in supporting female researchers in the fields of networking and communications. She is an IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer, Chair of IEEE Technical Committee of Social Networks, IEEE Senior Member, ACM Senior Member, and the Chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on Computer Communications (TCCC).

Clarence ChengClarence Cheng

Ms Clarence Cheng is Head of Operations, MTR Lab Company Limited; Manager-Transformation, MTR Corporation Limited.  MTR Lab is a technology spin-off of Hong Kong’s metro operator and property developer.  Her corporate experience was centred around strategy, innovation, technology and transformation, with an industry focus on mobility, construction and smart cities. Clarence is also a passionate advocate of STEM education and social innovation, and serves as Chairlady of the Imperial College Alumni Association of Hong Kong (ICAAHK), as well as Deputy Director of the Asia Pacific Youth Development Foundation (AYF). Clarence holds a Bachelor in Mathematics and a Masters in Management from Imperial College London. 

David ChanDavid Chan

Ir David Chan is Teaching Fellow in the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong. His research interests are: electrical drives in building, electrical services in building services, and renewable energy. 

David is Chair of WIE Affinity Group Hong Kong. He is advisor of Power & Energy Chapter and former Chair of the Hong Kong Section

David received MPhil in Engineering and MEd, both at The University of Hong Kong.  David is an experienced Marathon runner.
